On Ice opened its doors in June 2007 after a stylish refurbishment. The aims were to provide keenly priced drinks, a friendly and professional service and a delivery service for larger party orders. The shop is large, bright and easy to negotiate around and benefits from car parking spaces at the rear.

Neil has had previous experience in the family business and when he decided to launch out on his own, Mitcham was chosen as a busy location in the process of regeneration and with good passing trade.

Business support has come from a variety of sources including intensive mentoring from Jean Ottey the Mitcham Means Business adviser, which led to involvement with Mitcham Town centre management and the Go Green project. Neil and Sindy are always happy to discuss how to progress and most importantly succeed in running a successful business. “Having someone outside our own unit to talk to and get a different perspective on issues has been greatly appreciated."

The store will shortly be undergoing some changes with expansion into food and everyday items to meet the needs of their customers.
